Summary

Version 0.1 uses Notion as the content management system for the experiment's public documentation. Access is currently centralised, while version 1 is intended to introduce collaborative documentation, information notes, collegial publication, and a participatory roadmap.

Documentation in v0.1

Only the root administrator currently has access to the documentation workspace. The root administrator writes and publishes the documentation while consulting people with the relevant subject-matter and legal expertise to keep it accurate, understandable, and legally sound.

Published Notion articles are synchronised with the documentation section of the website. This arrangement is temporary and reflects the top-down administration of version 0.1.

Collaborative documentation in v1

The Communication administration team is intended to co-write, review, and publish documentation collectively.

Publication should follow the same decentralised principle as issue review: changes pass through a defined collegial process and cannot be approved unilaterally. The wider administration model is described in Administration and reporting.

Information notes

The Communication administration team will be able to publish information notes: short news posts that allow the community to follow recent activity, completed deliveries, and significant developments.

Information notes should report what happened without replacing the permanent documentation or the roadmap. Their publication will follow the same collegial review process as other communication content.

Public roadmap

Version 1 is intended to include a public roadmap containing proposed ideas and planned developments. The roadmap should make ideas accessible to the community and allow participants to comment on and rate them.

Community input should inform prioritisation without making an idea an automatic commitment. Decisions and their reasoning should remain visible so prioritisation can be understood and challenged.
